In many cases an accidental explosion will be followed by a fire. A blast resistant wall has to be able to resist that fire. InterDam Merford has recently developed and successfully tested a lightweight wall system that complies with the requirements from such a blast/fire scenario. The InterDam Merford test wall has been subjected to a severe blast impact and subsequently that same wall panel was put to an hydrocarbon test.
Our wall withstood this test for more than 180 minutes and resisted a blast overpressure of 1.1 bar.
